Biography
Mr. Herrick is a communications specialist for FEMA in Washington, DC. He joined FEMA in 2010 and has worked in External Affairs, Response Planning, and National Preparedness prior to joining the Federal Insurance & Mitigation Administration (FIMA). He has a wide range of experience across FEMA including disaster response and recovery activities, most recently during Hurricane Harvey. He works in the Data & Communications Branch in the Risk Management Directorate where he is responsible for communicating risk to the Whole Community and conveying the value of reducing and mitigating risk. Mr. Herrick oversees the Community Engagement and Risk Communications (CERC) efforts for FIMA. Mr. Herrick holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Norwich University.
