ADWKDC is back and better than ever for 2017! This year’s programming brings together influencers, tech gurus, marketing mavens, advertising connoisseurs, and professional communicators from throughout the Nation’s Capital.
For 2017, we decided to try something a little different—ADWKDC will still be the weeklong celebration of the DC communications community we know and love–but this year, on October 4, we’re featuring a one-day conference, INOV8 (say “innovate”). We believe technology and trends come and go, but at its root, innovation in advertising is always about “the big idea” whether we work in media, strategy, account, or creative.
So, what can you expect at INOV8?
A jam-packed, one-day conference, with plenty of keynotes, some hands-on workshops, and insightful panels presented by proven industry talent. Our speakers are outstanding: From journalistic titans, like David Leonhardt, of The New York Times, and Derek Thompson, of The Atlantic; to UX experts, like Vera Rhoades, of IBMiX–we’ve even got strategy leads, who’ve worked the agency, big brands and political circuits: like Brad Parscale (Giles-Parscale), Kevin Harris (INVIA Group), Shonali Burke (The Social PR Virtuoso), Steve Jumper (Ghost Note Agency), and DT French (nobody.co).
We’re also so pleased to welcome back Sonya Gavankar, of the Newseum, as this year’s conference MC. Immediately following the conference, save some time to join us at CHIEF—host of this year’s post-conference Wrap Party.
Check out the full INOV8 conference lineup here.
Ok, and here’s what you get with an ADWKDC all-access pass…
INOV8 is sure to be great—but don’t limit your opportunities for networking and plenty of learning to just the one-day conference. Your all-access ADWKDC pass also gets you in to a week’s worth of events being hosted by member companies/organizations around the city.
Hosted events are a chance for smaller, more intimate discussions about what it means to innovate in the communications space—straight from the mouths of DC innovators and trailblazers behind some of the best campaigns, creative and strategy in the business. Bonus: hosted events are taking place at enviable office spaces in/around DC, all week long; check out the topics and locations here.
So there you have it, from advertisers to strategists, and creatives, this year’s ADWKDC is sure to be filled with a little something for everyone. And with over a decade of experience hosting events to celebrate all areas of the DC communications community, ADWKDC is here to stay. So join us!
