I am thrilled to be this year’s ADWKDC Chair. I have been a part of the Advertising Week DC committee for over 6 years helping to drive content development and work to bring together some of the best industry thought leadership.
In our 100th year as the area’s leading creative-membership organization, I wanted to make this year’s conference a notable event—one that can “give back” to our community and the professionals who have supported AAF DC for many years.
What I’m most excited for is our one-day conference, Thursday, October 18th! Here’s what we have planned…
- We spent months searching for the perfect venue, and selected the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center. This venue provides a refreshed, more professional and appropriate feel—and the space, food and drink required for 300 attendees.
- The conference theme of “Trust and Transparency” is fitting, as these are industry imperatives we face each day in building our businesses and retaining our employees, and in improving the relationships with our clients and polishing the reputation of our collective trades. Our speakers will each offer a different and unique perspective on this theme, and how they are specifically addressing it in their companies and work.
- You can’t turn 100 years old without a party. So immediately following Thursday’s conference, we’re going to celebrate with food, drink and awards. You won’t want to miss it!
But ADWKDC isn’t just a day. It’s a week-long celebration, and the week wouldn’t be complete without the area agencies and media companies hosting ADWKDC programming around the city Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday leading up to the main conference.
