Jawauna M Greene
Ms. Jawauna M. Greene served as the Director of Advertising and Marketing for the Washington Metropolitan Transit Authority (Metro) since 2012. At Metro, Ms. Greene provides executive management for two of Metro’s largest revenue generating programs which account for more than 20 million dollars in annual transit advertising sales and another 200+ million in transit benefits sales. Ms. Greene manages the Authority’s transit promotional campaigns, business partnerships and customer outreach initiatives for the Greater Washington Region. With a career spanning more than 25 years, Ms. Greene has professional experiences stem from her extensive public sector work on behalf the Maryland Transit Administration, Maryland Port Administration, US Environmental Protection Agency and U.S. Congress. She has also worked for the Association for Public Televisions Stations, University of Maryland Hospital Systems and the Maryland General Assembly. Ms. Greene has received numerous awards for both her professional and non-profit work.
Ms. Greene currently serves as member of the Board for the Childrens Guild Charter School of DC, a member of the Children’s Guild Institute Board of Maryland and an advisory member for the High Tea Society of DC. Ms. Greene is a member of the CMO Circle of DC, American Public Transit Association Marketing Committee, Tysons Partnership, DC Chamber of Commerce Marketing Committee, Destination DC Marketing Committee and the Women’s Transportation Seminar. Ms. Greene holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from Hood College and is the proud mother of two.
